Former International Boxing Federation (IBF) Lightweight Champion Richard Commey is having an upcoming fight against Jackson Marinez.
World Heavyweight champion, Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua has come out to wish Richard Commey well in his next fight against Dominican opponent, Jackson Marinez.
The Ghanaian professional boxer, Richard Oblitey Commey, is the last boxer to have won a world title for Ghana. After one-year layoff of losing his world title to Teofimo Lopez at the Madison Square Garden, Richard Commey returns to the ring once again.
It is only once in 20 fights that Jackson Marinez, Commey’s opponent has lost a fight in his career.
This makes him a very tough opponent for Commey but it is believed that commey can weather the storm having risen on the back of similar setbacks to glory.
In a short video making waves on the internet Anthony Joshua, is spotted wishing his colleague well in his upcoming fight.
“Richard what sup Champ? Good luck in your fight, we are rooting for you in London.”Anthony Joshua said.
Richard Commey has also reacted to the video.
“My friend @molloydabhoy sent me this message from the champ @anthonyjoshua wishing me well for next week’s fight. Really appreciate it AJ and taking time out of your day to do it. Means a lot.”
“Good luck to you and your team for your next your camp,” Commey added.
