Aparthy Towards school after long Covid-19 break.

The president of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo yesterday as part of his frequent updates on Covid -19 made it clear that basics schools, as well as J.H S pupils, shall resume school today Monday, 18th January 2021.

It is rather unfortunate to note that some parents have deliberately look unconcerned about this and watching their wards still play around in the house after the long school break due to the Covid -pandemic.

Some parents in Obooho a town in the Eastern Region of Ghana made it clear to newstodaygh.com that they lack the financial strength to purchase new school uniforms and exercise books for their ward, others also made it known to us that the long break of their wards from school was a blessing in disguise because they helped them in farm work, trading and house chores and are reluctant now to let them go back to school.

The most intriguing part was that these students now have engaged themselves in work apprenticeship while home and now see no need to go back to school since they are already learning a trade.

Some parents told newstodaygh.com that, Covid-19 rate is still high and that put their wards at a greater risk of contracting the deadly virus in school
