Reverend Charles Gabriel Palmer-Buckle who is the Metropolitan Archbishop of Cape Coast and is the second Ghanaian native to become Archbishop of Accra, after testing positive for Covid 19 has disclosed his experience.
The Metropolitan Archbishop of Cape Coast has revealed he is currently recovering from the virus.The Archbishop was spotted in a video sharing his current health status in a Facebook post shared by Teresa Cross Codjoe.
He mentioned that he is recovering at the Ga East Municipal Hospital in Kwabenya.
“Archbishop Charles Palmer-Buckle, who is recovering from COVID-19 speaks to us from the Hospital. Let us be vigilant. We shall surely overcome this too! This too shall pass! Jesus is Lord! #JILaM,” the Facebook post was captioned.
The Archbishop said, “I just thought of sending this video message out to those of you who are my loved ones to at least let you know… I’ve survived it for five days and therefore I encourage anybody who is afflicted not to be afraid because, yes; COVID is real, but healing is equally real if we do our best.”
He advised that everyone should practice the three P’s . The three P’s mean “Prayer, Protocols and Prayer.” to curtail the spread of the virus.
The Archbishop also encouraged Ghanaians to pray and support health personnels, doctors and front line workers of Ghana’s coronavirus response.
“Let us continue praying, thanking God for the doctors, the nurses, the front line workers and the great good job they are doing. They are really stretched out and stressed out, they need our prayerful support, love and concern for themselves and anything God can help them to do,” Archbishop Palmer-Buckle pointed.
