Backing up your WhatsApp from an old device onto a new one

Backing up your WhatsApp from an old device onto a new one

Many people have lost valuable messages from WhatsApp after switching to a new device. This is because they weren’t able to successfully backup and transfer the messages.

Even though there are many third party software and apps which allows cloning and transfer of data seamlessly from one device to another, its not that easy to transfer WhatsApp messages directly.

Therefore this article will take you through a step by step process to resolve the many issues people have faced with WhatsApp message transfers over the years.

However, many have asked: can the app called “Smart Switch” transfer WhatsApp files? The answer is NO!

Not even the award winning Smart Switch app can transfer your WhatsApp messages. This is because Samsung does not allow Smart Switch to transfer any files or applications that have an end to end encryption like it is with WhatsApp.

WhatsApp chats and data are End to End encrypted, and therefore, it follows that the award winning Smart Switch cannot transfer your WhatsApp files onto your new device.

But the good thing about this difficulty with WhatsApp files is that no one can pick up your device and clone your messages that easily.

So when you get a new phone or other device, how do you take all these precious conversations along with you?

You don’t want to start afresh and lose all those precious memories like before, so I am going to teach you how to backup and transfer those WhatsApp files from your old device onto the new one.
