Barcelona are hoping to sign Sergio Aguero on free transfer this summer after his contract expire at Manchester City.
After 10 years of being at the Etihad, reports claims Aguero will depart the Manchester club after becoming the club’s all time goal scorer with 256 goals and four Premier League titles.
Aguero has so far gone a full year without scoring a league goal at home since hes been battling with injuries for some time now.
With the departure of Luis Alberto Suarez Diaz, Barcelona are struggling with an ideal no 9 to do the goal scoring work for them and they believed Sergio Kun-Aguero is the right man to replace Suarez at the club. According to reports.
Due to the financial crises of the club following the Covid-19 outbreak, the Catalan giants see Aguero has a transitional striker ahead of a future bid for Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez or Dortmund’s Haaland once the pandemic is off.
In 2014,Aguero was on the radar for Barcelona before the arrival of Suarez from Liverpool but getting the signature of Aguero this summer is believed to be a way of convincing Lionel Messi to stay at the club as both happens to be good friends and his arrival might capture Messi’s signature and commit to the club.
