German club Borussia Dortmund has extended a goodwill message to Black Stars head coach Otto Addo following a road accident on Sunday, September 1, 2024. The incident occurred as members of the Black Stars technical team, including Addo, were returning from an official assignment in Tarkwa, where they had observed the Champion of Champions match between FC Samartex 1996 and Nsoatreman FC.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) reported that the vehicle, a Land Cruiser carrying Head Coach Otto Addo, Assistant Coach John Paintsil, and Goalkeeper Trainer Fatawu Dauda, narrowly avoided a head-on collision with a pickup truck that swerved into its lane. Thankfully, the coaches escaped with no major injuries, though the vehicle sustained some damage.
