Covid-19: Hon. Sam George Opts To Keep His Children From School


The Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Hon. Sam George has opined that his children will be absent from school when school resumes on Monday.
The legislator in a Facebook post stated that, after consulting senior medical professionals, he together with his wife have resolved that, their children will be absent from school since it is better to miss a grade than a grave.
“After deep reflection and consultation with Senior Medical professionals, my wife and I have decided that our children would NOT be going to school on Monday or anytime soon. As said earlier, better a missed grade than a grave”, he stated.
In President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo’s 21st update on the measures taken to curb the spread of coronavirus, he made it known that schools at all levels would re-open with basic schools commencing on Friday, 15th January, 2020.
The advent of coronavirus necessitated the closure of basic schools in March as a precautionary measure against the virus.
