Member of Parliament for Manhyia South and NPP Vice Presidential Candidate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has called on students to actively participate in the upcoming general elections. Speaking at the 58th National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) Annual Residential Congress, Dr. Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as NAPO, urged student leaders to ensure their members are well-informed about the political messages circulating.
“You serve as the conscience of NUGS and a large constituency of Ghanaian students. You must carefully assess which of the political messages will benefit you the most,” NAPO emphasized.

He highlighted the significant impact the election’s outcome would have on students’ futures, stressing, “These elections are critical to your interests, as the result will directly affect your future.”
NAPO expressed confidence that a Bawumia/NAPO presidency would create the best opportunities for students to achieve their full potential in the 21st century. He also addressed the issue of political apathy among the youth, particularly Generation Z, urging them to get involved in the electoral process to make their voices heard and influence the nation’s direction.
