Authorities at Kotoka International Airport have handed over a passenger to the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) after their luggage nearly caused a fire outbreak at Terminal 3 on Sunday, September 22.
According to a statement issued by the airport management, the incident occurred at around 3:27 p.m. when smoke was detected coming from the passenger’s luggage in the baggage wrap area. Swift action from the Aviation Security Department’s Operations Room helped isolate the bag and safely evacuate passengers as part of the Ghana Airports Company Limited’s (GACL) emergency procedures.
