Mahama Slams Military, Religious Leaders for Backing NPP and Bawumia

Former President John Dramani Mahama has launched a fierce criticism against state institutions, religious leaders, and traditional authorities, accusing them of supporting the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. Speaking at a campaign event, Mahama expressed frustration, questioning why these groups have not condemned the actions of the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration.

He stated, “We have Pastors, Imams, Chiefs, and civil society groups who, instead of rebuking the NPP, are rather supporting them. When NDC speaks up, we are seen as the bad ones.”

Mahama further accused these leaders of hypocrisy, but expressed confidence that the NDC will emerge victorious in the 2024 elections.
