Medeama

Medeama SC started their Ghana Premier League season on a high note with a 1-0 win over Accra Lions at the TNA Stadium in Tarkwa on Sunday, 8th September 2024. Both teams delivered an exciting first half of end-to-end football, but struggled to capitalize on chances, with key forwards Mohammed Yahaya and Diawise Taylor unable to break through solid defensive lines.

The breakthrough came in the 56th minute when Medeama was awarded a penalty after a handball by Musa Hamzata. Bernardinho Osah Tetteh calmly converted from the spot, securing the lead for the home side. Despite Accra Lions’ pressing for an equalizer, Medeama goalkeeper Appiah Kubi made a stunning save in the 72nd minute to deny Bernard Kesse.
