Sarkodie has released a freestyle to express his mind on issues surrounding the Music industry in Ghana and how he rose to fame.
With DJ Semtex on “Hip Hop, Raised Me”, Sarkodie’s said Ghana was not ready to play his songs when he started music.
“Mainstream radio in Ghana wasn’t ready to play any of my records because it didn’t make sense. We were rapping on some beat they didn’t term as commercial,” Sarkodie had said.
His statement did not sit well with some industry players who tagged him a lier and ungrateful. He was reminded media helped him become who he is today because social media was not popular in Ghana when he was rising.
Perhaps as a form of voicing out his frustration with the foregoing, Sarkodie has returned with this track to express himself artistically.
