Parliament waits on the proposal to suspend payment of University fees

The proposal made by Mahama Ayariga, MP for Bawku Central, calling on the government to suspend the payment of University fees this year, was withdrawn on Wednesday, 20th January 2021 by the Parliament after they delineated on the motion.

Mr.Ayariga explained that, because of the economic hardship the pandemic had on households, most parents will find it difficult to pay tertiary fees ranging between GH¢2,500 and GH¢4,500.
