President John Mahama has urged Ghanaians to honor the dreams of the nation’s forefathers, expressing confidence that their vision for Ghana can be achieved within this generation.

Speaking at the 68th Independence Day Anniversary at Jubilee House on Thursday, March 6, President Mahama reflected on Ghana’s rich heritage and the sacrifices made by its founding fathers.

He highlighted the need for unity, diligence, and commitment to realize the aspirations of the leaders who fought for independence in 1957.

“As I mentioned in Parliament, we shall fulfill the dreams of our forebears in our lifetime. This is not merely a promise; it is a call to action,” he declared.

The President’s remarks resonated with the anniversary’s theme, “Reflect, Review and Reset,” encouraging Ghanaians to build on past successes while addressing modern challenges with determination and hope.

“Let us commit to overcoming fear, silencing doubt, tapping into our inner strength, and shaping a future that is equitable, prosperous, and inclusive,” he added.

His appeal for unity and collective responsibility carried particular weight in light of the nation’s current economic difficulties.
