Three injured, one feared dead in Mpaha land dispute.

Information reaching newstodaygh.com has confirmed that two (2) clans in Mpaha in the Central Gonja District clashed on Sunday over a piece of land under dispute leading to gunshot wounds sustained on the injured.

At least one person is feared dead following a land dispute between the two (2) clans in the Central Gonja District of the Savannah Region. Three (3) others are nursing gun shot wounds as the Losunpe and Kijasa clans at Mpaha clashed over a piece of land on Sunday, the police disclosed.

Police sources also disclosed that some houses in the area were torched during the clashes, therefore necessitating the deployment of a joint police-military patrol team to the community to maintain law and order.

According to reliable sources from the area, calm has now been restored to the Mpaha town as a result of the presence of the security personnel deployment.
