The Ghana Police Service has arrested Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako and Mouha Amoako, parents of 16-year-old Elrad Salifu Amoako, the driver involved in a fatal accident at East Legon on Saturday, October 12, 2024, which claimed two lives.

The parents are currently in custody, assisting with investigations. According to a police statement, Elrad, driving a Jaguar SUV with one passenger, crashed into a 4×4 Acura vehicle driven by Joseph Ackah at Mensah Wood Street, East Legon. Both vehicles caught fire, with two passengers in the Acura, 12-year-olds Justine Agbenu and Maame Dwomoh, tragically losing their lives.
Three other occupants of the Acura were rescued, with two treated and discharged for minor injuries. The third survivor remains hospitalized. Elrad and his passenger were also rescued and are currently receiving medical care.
