Reports reaching newstodaygh.com has it that a prominent journalist has passed on to glory.
According to reliable sources, the veteran journalist, Mr. Albert Sam, a former Public Affairs manager at the Graphic Corporation reportedly died on Saturday, March 20, 2021 after a short illness.
Mr. Albert Sam has played a very significant role in shaping Ghana’s journalism landscape as he was credited with many publications comprising journals, stories, feature articles on lifestyle and education, news items and other relevant issues and information during his career as a young journalist working with the Graphic Corporation.
He also served in many capacities reporting for the paper and also as the foreign editor during his early years to the admiration of his colleagues and peers.

The veteran journalist became the public affairs manager of the Graphic Corporation before leaving on retirement.
He also served as the member of the New Times Corporation (NTC) Board of Directors until his untimely death.
The veteran journalist was a very jovial person who would crack a few jokes whenever he was amongst his colleagues and peers, offering good counsel and advice especially to the young up and coming journalists and at functions which he called to chair.
He was last seen in public at the recently organised mass vaccination exercise for journalists which took place at the Ghana International Press Centre on March, 2, 2021, where he also got his Covid-19 jab.
Indeed the Ghana Journalist Association has lost a great man and mentor, whose space cannot be filled. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace, as our deepest condolences go to the bereaved family.
