Woman Allegedly Murdered At Atwima Agogo by Husband

A dead body was discovered in a bush at Atwima Agogo in Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality in Ashanti Region.

The body believed to be that of a young female in her 20’s was already decomposing when it was discovered in some bushes.

According to a close family source of the deceased, there have been several misunderstandings between the deceased and the husband which resulted in severe beatings of the now-deceased woman.

The source disclosed that as a result of these beatings, the family decided to support her file for divorce, but because her religion being that of the Jehovah’s Witness Church, it wasn’t accepted.

They (church) advised her to go back and try to patch up things at home with the husband. A few days later, she went missing and a search for her led to the discovery of the body in the bushes.

The body of the deceased has been taken to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital by the Police as investigations continue to ascertain the cause of death.

Meanwhile, the husband of the deceased woman has been arrested for suspected murder by the police and put into cells awaiting prosecution in court.

The death of this woman is one more statistic of many other recorded cases of brutality and killings against women by their husbands or boyfriends in recent times.
